Have you ever wondered why the nation of Israel commands so much attention these days? How does a nation the size of New Jersey find herself with such a multitude of enemies? Why do certain world leaders deny one of the greatest satanic triumphs of all times, the Holocaust? Are the Jewish people really the world’s enemy? Are the conspiracy theories of the anti-Semites possibly true? Or, is it simply because they are God’s Chosen People?

Just think of what the Jewish nation has been subjected to over the centuries: enslavement, pogroms, mass murder and even genocide. These events can be clearly seen throughout history: pharaoh in Egypt (1450 B.C.E.), the Assyrians (722-721 B.C.E.), the Babylonians (586 B.C.E.), Antiochus IV (171-164 B.C.E.) and Herod’s killing of the babies in Bethlehem (8-7 B.C.E.). Under the Romans, the Jewish people were dispersed twice, once in 70 C.E. at the destruction of the temple and again in 135 C.E. after the Bar Kochba rebellion. The Church’s persecution of the Jewish people continued throughout the Middle Ages and the Crusader period (500-1250 C.E.). Following this, were the pogroms of Eastern Europe culminating with Hitler’s attempt at genocide in the last century. Why? Thus, after Messiah’s triumphant mission, Satan then turned his attention into a two fold attack…

In Revelation 12, we see the woman (Israel), “clothed with the sun and moon, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; and she was with child…being in labour and in pain [ready] to give birth” representing Israel’s condition prior to Y’shua’s (Jesus’) coming into the world. However, “the woman” is a depiction of all of Israel. God had been preparing Israel and in Revelation 12:4 we see the dragon (Satan) standing before her seeking to devour her child. But when Y’shua offered Himself up, “once for all” (Hebrews 10:12) canceling out the “certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us and which was hostile to us” (Colossians 2:14) Satan’s only other option was to destroy the vessel (Israel) by which the Messiah was brought into the world.

His first attack is against the Jewish people as a whole; his second, against all who believe in Messiah. In these last days, Satan is literally “enraged with the woman” (Israel) and he will make war with her “remnant,” those who “hold to the testimony of Y’shua and keep the commandments of God.” Satan is so “enraged” (lit., had his last nerve stepped on) he will seek the utter destruction of the Jewish people. How is this destruction going to unfold? It is my opinion that as Israel continues to hide behind a “security fence,” she will one day find her fortress is really her prison. Everywhere today we see the signs of anti-Semitism on the rise, the denial of the holocaust, and claims against Israel as the source of the world’s problems.

In the Book of Zechariah, we are told the Jewish  nation will, “look upon Me whom they pierced,” (12:10). This is at Y’shua’s return to defend Israel from total annihilation at the Battle of Armageddon. He defends Israel and Jerusalem and in 13:1 we read, “On that day a fountain will be open for the House of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and impurity.” This fulfills the promise of Romans 11:26, “And all Israel will be saved.” However, it must be remembered the purpose of the Tribulation is to cleanse Israel, once and for all, of her impurity. Zechariah 13:8 states, “It will come about in all the land, declares the Lord, that two parts will be cut off (lit., put to death) and perish; but a third will be left in it. And I will bring the third part through the fire, refine them as silver is refined and test them as gold is tested.” The nation of Israel is going to face a holocaust as never before!

The Newer Covenant tells us in 2 Thessalonians 2:8- 9 that Y’shua will destroy the antichrist with the breath of His mouth. The antichrist is really the embodiment of Satan himself and Y’shua returns to earth to save Jerusalem before her complete destruction.

Our world system is prepared for this coming holocaust. Today we see the signs of anti-Semitism on the rise, denial of the holocaust and claims against Israel as the source of the world’s problems. These signs are leading up to this tragic event. Even more heinous is the fact that some in the Body of Messiah are denying the Jewish people the Gospel message of Y’shua. Some are teaching that the Jewish people have a covenant through Abraham; therefore, they do not need Y’shua. It must be remembered, Y’shua Himself said, “…no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

The Jewish people need the Gospel message because another holocaust is coming…like one never seen before…
