how do you witness to an atheistic Jew

How do you witness to an atheistic Jew when you cannot even use the torah to convince him/her about HaShem. it is different with one who accepts HaShem and does not believe in Yeshuah as the messiah because the old covenant can be used to point Yeshuah. how can you explain there is a God to an atheists and then point him/her to Yeshuah through the old covenant.

Witnessing to a Jew who doesn't believe in anything is hard. I have many family members in that category. Challenging them on the validity of evolution is where to start but unless the Ruach prepares the heart first through prayer, draw circle on wall, attach head to circle repeatedly until frustration ceases.

There really is no such thing as a Jewish athiest. Just Jewish God deniers. So the question is why do they deny and there in lies the chink in the armour.

We have a conscience for a reason... G-d has written His law upon our hearts. The most important way to point them to Yeshua is not to show where He is in the Old Covenant (since they wouldn't care anyway), but rather to approach the matter the way Yeshua Himself did. It's wrong to lie, steal, commit adultary, etc. Then point out that judgement is coming whether or not the person believes it. (If I don't believe in gravity does that mean I'm not going to fall if I jump off a cliff?) When dealing with an athiestic Jew, you're not dealing with the question, "Is Yeshua the Messiah?" but rather, "Is there a God?" Deal with that question first.
