The first promise of a redeemer in the bible in the original Hebrew text reveals something remarkable.

When we understand the meaning of the word "Seed" in Hebrew we will quickly realize that women don’t have seeds.  Seed is the same word in Hebrew for "sperm" and only a male can have this seed. A woman can have an offspring but never a seed.

You plant an apple seed and you get an apple tree.  That apple tree can produce another 100 seeds and another 100 apple trees. The soil can never reproduce on it’s own neither can it change the life form of the seed. You may wish for a pear but you get an apple. No matter how fertile the soil it cannot change an apple seed planted in her and transform it into a pear. The soil nurtures the seed providing all its nutrients but can’t change its life or nature. At the most the quality of the soil can determine whether it is a healthy apple tree bearing fruit or a barren apple tree.

The word seed is used in scripture also as offspring but this strictly refers to male offspring coming from a male sperm (seed).

The Rabbis understand the concept of a virgin birth. They teach that a woman’s womb is only the soil for the male’s sperm and that the life and nature of the child is determined by the father.

The phrase "Seed of a Woman" strongly hints in Hebrew of something that is contrary to nature, something unusual.  It is utterly impossible that a woman have a seed. The first thing I ask myself when I read the text in Hebrew is "Women don’t have seeds! Where did this seed come from? "We know now that Mary was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and that this holy seed fell into the ground when Yeshua was crucified and now is multiplied. Yeshua was the first born among many brothers.

The woman revealed in Revelation 12, gives birth to a male child, the head which is Yeshua is in heaven but the body which is us is still on the earth. The male child isn’t singular but a compound male child made up of many.  The woman’s seed has multiplied. If we suffer with Yeshua we will reign with Him and we will rule the nations with Him with a rod of iron.  Therefore we too are the seed of the woman and inheritors of the first bible promise. We will bruise the serpent’s head.
